The result shows up after waiting a bit, typically a few minutes. It could be a plus or minus sign, “yes” or “no,” one line or two lines, or it might directly say “pregnant” or “not pregnant.”
It’s important to follow the instructions on the pregnancy testing kit regarding how long to wait before checking the results, which is usually two minutes or more. Most kits include a control indicator, often a line or another symbol, in the result window to show the test is working correctly. If this indicator doesn’t appear, the test may be faulty, and you should try again with a new kit.
